how wide is to wide?

i am thinking of getting some skis with around 85 to 92 mm waist how would a ski like this do in pipe? i know they would be great in park and jumps but i also like to ski pipe alot and am wondering how they are in the ol stunt ditch

pistols are pretty good in pipe but they are 95 so a lil wider htan what you are looking for.

if you know how to ski, wide skis aren't really much of a disadvantage, unless you ski east coast ice everyday, or try to straightline moguls.....my skis are 79mm underneath and they still turn way easy, i almost wish i had bought a fatter ski sometimes, but my old skis were 68 underneath so mine are fat enough for now

I saw some guy riding the spatula's in the pipe at blackcomb in april. it was so funny, he was struggling

I ride xxxs in the pipe - other than being a bit on the heavy side, no worries. Mind you, if I were concerned about weight, I would loose it off of my fat ass first...

 
Don't bother buying any ski skinnier than 78mm, and preferably over 85mm. That's what I think. Unless you can have like 8 pair of skis.
