this sounds stupid but i dont know how to wax skis and would like to stop throwing my money away do you know of any sites with tutorials thanks

clean base of ski.

melt wax onto base.

smooth out everywhere with iron

use small plastic right angle to get wax off edges

let sit for 3-4 minutes

scrape

buff

Go to the ski shop and buy Swix products. Make sure you buy the appropriate wax for the conditions you'll be skiing or you can actually hinder your mobility. Ask the wax tech or someone in the shop about the wax hardness.

do not do this. All you need to use ptex is a stick of ptex and a blowtourch. The txec has to actually be light on fire to be used.

yeah i know that, why would u use a blowtorch, just use a lighter, light it and tap/rotate along the base, but ive seen pictures of some shit that looks like a glue gun, but with p-tex instead

yah, the P-tex extrusion iron is ridiculously expensive. If you really want an iron, use little ribbons of p-tex and a small flat iron.

A normal glue gun doesn't get hot enough. You can buy cheap p-tex guns that are pretty much just powerful glue guns for under $100. Or get a base welder for under $50 which is like a soldering iron.

p-tex the OG way. light it on fire and let it drip onto where you want it. (if your using white p-tex, let if drip clean before using it.)

you buff with a scotch-brite pad, you know the green ones that people use for food stuck to dishes?
