How to take the power/booster strap off SPK pro's to put booster staps on

Well I need some booster straps on my 08 SPK pro's, but the power strap that comes with the boot is basically riveted onto the boot.

So how should I go about putting on booster straps? Cut the strap off or what? And I searchbarred this.

I saw a mount of a RACE booster strap by 1) remove boot liner, 2) put a block of wood or something in to spread the shell cuff / collar, 3) drill out the rivet from the boot shell 4) out comes the old strap 4) depending on the booster strap match to the old rivet hole -mount or drill or melt new holes as needed.

Some people use hot nails to melt thru the shell cuff and if the strap needs a hole they use a hot nail to seal it...
