So i got my Pins a little bit longer that i wanted and i want to cut them down. I know you have to screw the graptab off and then the strap and tab comes off, but how do you slide the grip off? Its rock solid.

thanks!

I'm not sure for 100% for those poles specifically.. but try heating them mofos up with your little sisters hairdryer and then it should be an piece of cake.

if you want them to be bombproof at remounting you should consider adding adhesive.. but with the screw and all you wont die.. wont kill you to do it either.

Hairdryer would not be the best choice. It might melt the plastic. Stick it in some hot water. Do not boil it all the way up, but do it so its like the temperature of your coffe, or hot chocolate. Let it sit for 2-4 mins, then get a good grasp on the grip and twist it back and forth to eventually loosen it up to the point that it comes off. Good luck!

There's a little lock screw on the bottom of the grip remove that, then boil some water and stick to pole grip in it and just pull it off.

You dont need to take the strap off, just unscrew the set-screws on the bottom and pull it off. I have actually used 2 different pairs of line pins, but only one of them had the grip glued on. not sure why they did this, but if your poles have the glue the the only way to get them off is to heat some water and let them site for a few minutes and pull them off. plus it makes a really cool noise when you pull them off

also, dont put them in a vise unless you for some reason only need to clamp them a slight amount. the aluminum crushes very easily

the rasta ones? its there, just look harder. It'snot an obvious screw or anything, its a very small set screw that requires a small allen wrench. there are 3 of them, they just look like little black dots.
