i somehow always end up switch on a box no matter what. ive checked and i pop good and land 90 degress on the box too.

You either need to get to 90 by shiftying instead of just jumping to 90 or by gripping the edge of the box like you would for a front 2.

You might be spinning onto the box which keeps you rotating. You want to slowly turn your shoulders as you approach the box then pop and turn your feet.

Have someone take a video and show you, you'll identify the issue really quickly, it's probably all of the above. But sometimes seeing it yourself helps.

You just gotta peddle, it’s harder in boxes but that is your fix, or don’t actually rotate getting on as others said.

Hard to grip on a box. It’s not like a rail grip. It’s like a truly flat rotation. Edge gripping can make you slip unless you grab edges on sides of box. So try to initiative a spin with your shoulders and let it move down to your hips and legs in a natural movement.

Basically, get on the box and immediately turn your head/shoulders towards the end of the box to start rotating and slowly going that way.

this is always good advice. post a video on here if you want really targeted feedback, it helps so much

don't.

just keep spinning, surface bs -> surface b2 off.

in all seriousness though, boxes are tough to lock because of their width. like the above posts mentioned, make sure you're popping into your 90 rotation, and straddling the box if possible. from there, your upper body will either set your rotation at 90, or continue farther if your hips allow it.

keep your eyes on the end of the box, as you would any other rail.
