How to stop/get rid of rust on car body panels

I live up north at a sort of high elevation and its been wet here since October. Anyways it looks like its not going to snow anymore and from here on out its going to be constantly rainy.

Anyways I drive an older Toyota truck which I know are perticularly rust prone, and my new snow tires had a higher off set and kicked up tons of shit on the side of my truck, and I'm noticing there's little pin point rust spots on the door and side panels, with the biggest being like half the size of a dime.

My question is how to I stop this and get rid of it? A certain kind of wax or polish that will help? Or do I need a new coat of paint? Or am I fuck and now drive a rusty pile?

Any help

Always wash mud and dirt off your truck. What most retarded rednecks don't know is that that shit makes your truck rust.

As for the rust, I don't really know what to tell you. If you live in a wet environment, your truck is going to get wet. You make it sound like you park your truck in a lake though.

Also rust can be cancerous or just on the surface. If it's cancerous, it just means it's spread into the actual metal and you have to cut it off. If it's just on the surface, get a grinder and bondo and put touch-up paint on it. All this shit can be found on YT. hope i helped

I live in upstate NY and had a '95 Pontiac Sunfire that was passed down to me through my family. After so many years dealing with snow and salted roads, the bottoms of the door panels started rusting out, so to prevent/slow it down, I would:

1. Scrape/sand the rust off so it was as smooth as possible

2. Spray with Rustoleum and let dry

3. Spray with car paint

It would hold off the rust for a year, and I'd have to repeat that process. Fixing the rust on the k-frame, however, was something I couldn't do, and such is the reason why I no longer have sunny sunfire.

Oh and I also used to (and still do for my current car) polish and wax twice a year.

For that I use carnuba wax and some kind of high quality polish, I cant remember the name at the moment.
