How to slow down a backflip for larger jumps

I've been practicing backflips in the park recently on a 20-25 footer....I want to learn how to do them off bigger jumps but I'm not sure how to slow down the flip's rotation so that I don't overrotate.

Any tips??

go to a pool with a high dive and practice laying out, usually when i backflip highdives i'm still upside down like 5 feet from the water just keep practicing

well dont fully lay out like an ariealist, just do like a big dumshoot (sp) bakclfip and its gonna be super easy because if you set to hard you can boneer it out and if your not fast enough you can tuck up aibt. you wont stall in the air, just push your hips through and basically once you can see the ground your good.

just set a really good pop...like when you hit the lip pop out not back...but out and then do your backie rotations

Holy fuck, how helpless are you. If you cant figure out how to slow down a backflip than you shouldnt be throwing backflips. Why cant people just go out and figure shit out for themselves these days.

just dont lean back so much.. the rotation speed you get is the amount u lean back and how fast u lean abck afte rhte lip..

just practice doing some big ones on a tramp. it is exactly the same just with more weight on your feet

I doubt that. How about you get off your computer and try to figure it out for yourself instead of wasting our time. How do I slow down a backflip... hm... I dunno stupid, throw it less hard or dont tuck up. HOLY SHIT THAT WAS HARD. Instead of typing "how do I not bitch out on a backflip" how about you go to the mountain and fucking try it. Its a god damn backflip for godsake. IT is almost as bad as the "how do I pop off a rail" thread.... almost

because some people would ratehr get advice then just try to learna trick where you could land on your head if you do it wrong

exactly, but it seems like infernohits fears nothing and would rather risk being a paraplegic than ask for some tips on NS...he's the Chuck Norris of skiing

Finally someone understands me. And hm... if he has to SLOW down a backflip, that probably means hes over rotating and not landing on his head, which also means he already knows how to backflip, which means he should be smart enough to figure out how to slow it down.

Its not my fault NS has turned into a bunch of whining kids who are scared to try shit and need a step by step guide to absolutely everything. If you guys want I came make a trick tip on how to wipe your ass or maybe how to get off a ski lift. Maybe if your lucky I can even make a guide on how to pizza down a slope. You are idiots.

set your stance in the flip wider by keeping you hands out more. It you keep your hands wider apart then this will naturally widen your stance in the flip which is what you want to slow the flip down. ALso arch your back but that will happen naturally.

you forgot the other half that turned into loosers who have nothing better to do than bitch out people on NSers instead of politely spreading their "just do it, breaking your neck isnt really something you should worry about" gospel.
