How to say...?

Wasn't sure where to put this, but gear talk seemed most appropriate. When you go to a bootfitter, how do you say you want your "boots fitted"? I'm buying boots for the first time, and i don't want to sound like an idiot. Would you say "Hi, I'd like a 'boot fit'?" Idk it sounds kinda awkward.

id like to get new boots. the fitting part should be automatic if its a decent shop, they shouldn't just let you pick some random boots.

at my shop the guy handed me a pair of boots and said ill give you these for 80, theyre dabello's and kinda comfy. probably shouldnt have impulse bought them

also, my skis are already mounted, so i should probably bring them to the shop when getting fitted for boots right?

yeah. they will most likely be able to adjust them to fit your new boots unless your feet have grown a ton. if so, they may have to remount.
