How to physically measure brake size?

I just got my new QST 118 192cm and requested 115mm brakes with Warden 13 bindings. They arrived and I want to know if they listened to me and put 115mm brakes or went rogue and put 130mm.

How do I properly measure the brakes to determine what size they are? Do you measure when they are up or down?

Thanks all for the feedback. Yeah for sure they look okay, even so I was wondering if they listened to me or not and since I don't know how to measure brakes I couldn't figure it out.

So stoked to get on these next season!

Seeing as you're measuring 13 cm across I would be willing to bet they ignored you. Brakes that are too small for the ski are annoying and catch on the edges, don't hold together to each other very well idk why you would choose that.

I mounted Warden 13s with 115mm brakes on some big skis that are 125 under foot. Worked fine without much bending. They are supposed to work on traditional skis that are 115 underfoot so the brake needs to clear more than 115 since the part of the ski it has to clear is not the skinniest part of the ski.

Fit looks find and I guess you will never know for sure unless you have the package or just ask the guy at the shop. (Never know if the guy at the shop might be going rogue though.)

Does any of that truth syrum stuff from the movies actually work? That is another option for you to research OP. You could tie up the guy in the shop and give him some truth syrum and see if he fesses up to using 130 brakes even though you specifically paid for 115s.
