How to meet NSers on the hill? New England NS community?

Okay, so long story short, my crew from last season fell apart. Kids moved away, transferred schools, and all that, so now it's gone from a solid crew of about 6 or 7 to just me and my best friend. Whereas it used to be you could always find at least 4 kids who were down to go on any given weekend, it's now just me and him., possibly a few others coming with us on an inconsistent basis. We've been freeskiing for a number of years but I just found this website recently. He's not on here yet.

Anyway, since we have no one to ski or chill with on the hill now, I'm probably gonna try to find some fellow NSers at Loon and Sugarloaf (and some other mountains in New England) when we go next season, because you guys seem to be a cool bunch and I like the site so far. Cool community, blah blah blah, you know what I'm sayin.

How does one call out an NSer on the slopes? What are the NS populations like at Loon and Sugarloaf?

Sunday River? Killington? Wachusett? These are the places I go most. Just looking to meet some cool new people or whatever. So where are you guys' home mountains?

Also, have you guys met anyone, or found new skiing friends through this site irl?

FIgured i'd throw up a thread in regionals trying to get a sense of how the NS community is in New England .

inb4 possible n00b hate, sorry if it's a repost, you know the drill.

Thanks!

loon/Sugarloaf/Sunday River all have healthy NS populations. I actually live up at Sugarloaf, and i have a lot of friends from the mountain who are on here also.

im at wachusett and sunday river all the time, if you need some people to shred with while you are at either of those places just shoot me a message and id be down to introduce you to my crew

I ski at loon pretty much every weekend, the ns community is pretty solid you're bound to see me or elmo cruising around. As for calling someone out if they look like an NSer just ask man everyone tends to be pretty chill on the hill.

Wait for real? There are quite a number of people from NS that go to wachusett. I go basically every weekend during the normal season and sometimes during the week. For early season ill be at killington and loon. Just message me I guess when you go, always a fun time during early season.

I was injured for much of the season. Went only I think 3 or 4 times, I was just wearing a plain white and black jacket.

However, this year I'll be wearing this:

So I should be easy to find. I'll message you guys when I go up there

Nice, I plan on getting the New England pass so I'll be at Loon, SR, and the Loaf a ton, in addition to Wachusett which is my "home mountain".

word! well i hope to see ya around loon a bunch. i wear saga ski on domains and always have my black poc helmet on

Nice! That's my favorite overall mountain around here, like factoring in "regular" non-park skiing and whatknot. Snowfields ftw

theres newschoolers everywhere, but carinthia at mt snow is probably the largest concentration. followed by loon and the places up near burlington.

talk to people on the lifts, don't be the antisocial weird kids that are too cool to talk to other people on the lift and spliff the world just like hood crew would and you will have friends in no time.

and maybe even talk to some girls.

take it, so many kids at mount snow play the too cool card, sometimes ive wanted to hook them up with helmets but they have been such douches in life that it didnt matter how well they skied. you never know who you are talking to.

i dont think you ski at the same sunday river i do man. theres a lot of easy going crews there.

Snow is the worst for that, it's my home mountain but sometimes the lift rides up with kids who just refuse to talk lol or are young and rude, but that's all over the mountain. i'm not in the park all day and none of my friends ski/board except for my best friend that snowboards so it's usually me and him. it's hard finding anyone at Carinthia on a good snow day to ski anywhere other than the park lol, i could spend all day in the Trials if the snow is right

everyone at wachusett sucks and will probably try to spread their team jabroni nonsense vast rectum visuals mumble jumble propoganda you wouldnt want to talk to them

Ill be skiing basically every weekend up at Sugarloaf and Sunday River. If you need someone to ski with, my crew is always down to ski with someone new.

Im at Wachusett during the week alot, ski Cannon and Waterville on the weekends, we have a pretty good crew at wawa always ns'ers shredding the paaark

I mainly ski at Saddleback. Great terrain, people, and a solid park.

I tend to meet people skiing, and then find them on ns. Or at least that happens more frequently.

ill be skiing at mount snow this year!

itll be my first time so i doubt ill be lurking around the park much, rather explore all the trails and see whats going on
