I think nugget to 180 is probs easier than what you’re trying, looks like you need more speed though

Ooo, yea probably easier to pop off from there to start spin.

but honestly I thought I needed to go slower, getting onto this flat box rail at anything more than a snails pace is fuckin scary

knowing how to ski into the features without looking like this ?would help. so would more speed and then working on tapping later, along with spinning out once the tap is good. or just spin out then add the tap. make a lil progression for yourself

Go faster

You'd also have to be ollieing pre hard to get a 1 nose snipe off that bar.

Then like overshifty bonk or shifty bonk 1?

Cause overshifty would def be easier, could just grease the shit out of a shuffle like tht, like ollie 180 overshifty bonk land and a greasy shuffle back to switch

You can def start the rotation earlier in a nugget

as far as speed goes, think about the most stylish skiers: Adam delorme, b dog, mango, those guys ski fast as fuck 100% of the time. If something looks weird and choppy is usually cause there isn’t enough speed

hey look at that NS clips not freaking the fuck out this time

Grind with one foot, use dangling foot to lever your body, then you can turn your shoulders early and not slide out of the 5050, then you won’t have to use your arms to spin the 180 out and it will look good.

Example below, not steezy but just what I mean by the foot position and how you can pre-spin:

more speed, also a tip that helps me with shifty bonks is really sucking the knees up, it makes it easier to extend for the tap and makes it look better

I wish this tube was like 7 feet longer but this felt really good

don't do that weird arm thing and don't ride Vishnus

I was just going to say this too. Arms at the side to show control and confidence. When people flail their hands like that it looks like their first time hitting a rail.

valid tho, I’m workin on that. Rocking poles has helped quite a bit

Vishnus stay but eventually the arm flail will go away

you bring your arms into your body after each movement, including turns. it's an old habit for sure that will be tough to break. keep your hands outside of your hips. keep filming yourself and want to break the habit. give yourself shit until it's gone. and work on it everywhere, not just skidding around rails.

this is fax...practically ducktaping your hands to your side will improve the look of most tricks

i tried to keep my arms in here and it looked a lil better

you can ignore the rest of the clip where I fuck up trying a backslide but

you look less wack. but you still bring your arms in after making moves. you need the ol Tanner Hall gorilla steeze mindset. don't ever let your arms cross in front of your body. ever

and friends don't let friends film vertically

keep skiing

Respect for not taking offense to criticism, too many kids that think they are way better then they really are just blow up over it.

You're riding is clean, better then this comment section reflects, tht backslide was less then half baked tho ahah.

I recommend learning backslides low speed on a tall but flat rail, will make it look so mean going fast on slopestyle esque rails.

Hell yea, I been riding forever but rly only been actually trying in the park for a couple years so I know I got a lot to learn. A lot of arm stuff comes from being a freeride boi for a long time and rly just doing what u gotta do to keep balance.

yea the backslide attempt was also half assed cuz I didn’t know what else to do on that tiny rail lol
