Just use something like photo-shop or Paintshop Pro. Keep the rail or jump as a background layer and just paste all of the skier pictures on top in the respective places. Make sure to use a path selection and to feather when you paste it in.

i bet most of these guys used a digi camcorder, and used the video as still. If you want to shoot on still film, you are gonna need to shell out some cash for a nice body that has a quick framerate.

i took that cliff jump one with a fuji finefix6800 - it has a cool sequence mode that takes 5 pics in a row- perfect for rails, jumps and anything else

I actually took those stills from the Happy Dayz DVD. It's part of a larger wallpaper I made but can't post because its too big.

Most pros shoot either than canon Eos 1v or 1n...or the nikon f4 or 5. Some shoot with back up bodies like eos 3 and nikon f100. The f5 and eos 1v are the two newest and fastest cameras out. They both shoot about 10 frames per second. Which means a roll of film in 3.5 seconds. With the motors and all the other things needed for the body just to get the camera that fast you are talking a couple grand add on another 15,000 for some lenses and you too can become a pro photographer.
