HOW TO MAKE A HOME MADE RAIL

Holy fuck man, people are fucking stupid, its not that hard to make a fucking rail or box it so simple.

take wood and a rail. think of what you can d. u dont have to be smart to make one, look at me

I made a box out of plywood and didnt put plastic on top of it. I just put a bunch of coats of this smooth water proof paint on it and it slides pretty good. I also waxed it a bunch. It only cost me 60 bucks

i know. specially boxes. i can understand rails a little more if you want to weld them but other than welding its easy.

well if ur that much of an idiot to not know how to make a rail/box, u should probably just get some race skis and try that profession

I think we need to make a forum of FAQ's. All stickies. examples:

-"What skis to buy?"

-"How to build a jib?"

-"Who's the best skier?"

-"Poles or no poles?"

-"Do we hate snowboarders?"

-"What happened to CR?"

-"Has anyone seen this freestyle walking video?"

Dude most people would look at a welder and have no fucking idea what to press, let alone the right voltage, wire speed, wire size, if it's a wire feed. welding is alot harder than just getting a welder. You need alot of practice to acctually be able to weld something right.

just check the search bar man you'll find lots of good info i apologize for all the douchebags just remember the search bar for next time man, have a good one.

is everyone fucking stupid or on probation. Step one find a friend wih a truck or van. Step two get a hacksaw or even better a battery pwr saw. Step three find a rail and under a cloak of darkness take it. the rest is just smoke and mirrors.

Dont the wirefeeds nowadays come w/a chart that tells you that based on metal thickness? Or just get a stick, boht only take like an hour of practice to figure out.

I mean if i can do it then it has to be easy as hell

news flash, you want to make a straight rail/box then everything will be square and the length/width you want, you wanna make a c-box, do the fucking calculations, how much arc, how much bank, what radii etc, rainbow, SAME, get the fucken tools, throw down some sketches and numbers and have at it. Have you noticed that nearly every resort builds it's shit differently, its called freestyle for a reason, make what you want unless you are that un-inventive fucken retard

Dude if the fucking welder came with a booklet how to do it, people still wouldnt figure it out cause they are stupid.

I think its because all you fucks spend all your time on this gay site instead of actually trying to build a rail or even skiing for that matter!

You don't even need to be able to read to build a rail i spent 2 hours on the weekend when i was bored since the hills haven't opened in Ontario yet and i have a nice pvc rail in my back yard

i bought a 10ft by 10 inch board, a bunch of 2x4s and siding for a box. i made the box and stacked 1/2 inch pvc pipes across it. works amazing, super slippy feels like a legit box. the rail was less than 40 dollars to make too. ill put up pics tomorow

haha ya i have like 4 rails, all of them i used searchbar for. it works really really well!!!

3 8ft 2x4s+1 1.5"diameter PVC make 1 amazing 16 inch tall rail that s 8ft long. 1 2x4 on bottom, then 11 inch supports every 2 ft, starting flush with the ends of the 8ft 2x4 going inward. Should be 5 support. Then cut remaining wood in half and screw 1 too the supports on each end for support. Should have the 1.75" side on the ground. Then drilll holes in the outmost side of the pvc angling towards the top 2x4 that are slightly larger than the drill bit. Then attatch PVC too rail with screws. Enjoy.
This recipe makes the bottom rail. 2 smaller diameter pvc pieces for the top one. (my setup)
