As of right now my only way of filming is with a gopro hero 2. I was just wondering what you guys would recoomend for tips on how to make a better gopro edit without it looking too bad.

+K for good answers

Bit of colour correction goes a long way with go pro footage.

Duck tape it to the end of a long pole. get too close for comfort on your follow cams

I wouldn't use the narrow view. Shoot in the 2k setting or 1080p 60fps, then stabilize, color grade and punch in and reframe the shots and outport in 1080 or 720. If you shoot in the raw setting you can do a lot will some color grading. You also have to be ok at shooting, and the camera mounting set up will determine how shaky your footage is. a lot of better gopro edits have rigs for the camera.

1) 720p 60fps mode

2) No chest mount shots!

3) Don't point the damn thing at your skis. We want to see where you're headed, not what your ski tips look like. You always need to aim it higher than you think.

4) Get close. If you're not using it for POV, you need to be right on top of the person you're filming or they will look way too far away.
