1. for you first handrags (presumably 180, but ill explain 360s later) get loooowww. sit on the backs of your skis, and when you come up to a roller, or whatever you're trying to do this off of, pop and lean way into your dragging hand. the idea is to do half an underflip (i think thats what its called) but to use your hand to push yourself out of teh rotation. usually, unless you pus REALLY hard, or go off a really steep roller, you will land on your edges, not quite at 180, so just slide out like its what you mweant to do and rid away switch.

2. for handrag 3s, approach teh knuckle, roller, etc. the same way you did for 180. pop as if you were going to do a handrag 180, but as you get into your handrag position, throuw your other arm down too. this will ideally get you parrallell to teh ground with you looking at the sow in your face. push off your hands (sometimes if you pop too hard, your elbows will hit the snow too, but no biggie cause it still looks cool :P) and complete your rotation. at this point you have nothing to worry about; stomp and ride away. again, however, you will most likely land backseat unless carrying speed or going off a steep roller.

*note: this trick is really easy and low consequence. you just have to do it. it held the same mental block as a backflip, but even if you crash, i almost guarantee you will not get hurt. GIVE 'ER

good luck and have fun!

sit on the backs of your skis, and then when you pop, do it in a way that you kick your skis out in front of you and throw your trailing arm over your body on to the knuckle/lip/roller/jib/whatever, and when you're at about 270, start pushing your trailing arm down hard so you can get back on axis a little easier (eventually you won't have to anymore, you'll just know the axis well enough that you can just throw it).

I actually learned them off a small jump.....soo easy still do them the same way. I live in minnesota the knucles suck for hand drags. I think a small jump is a little easier cuz you don't have to push off as much, it kinda auto corks you. Once you get HD 3s just throw a little harder and get HD 5's...soooo fun.
do whatever feels comfortable.
off a jump i just sit on my tails and roll over as i hit the lip, push off with my hands, KEEP YOUR HEAD TURNED.
