How to improve pop?

I've heard that the basis of most tricks is in the pop, so how can I improve my pop? It's my first year riding park and I just learned my 360 and attempted a flip off a cornice.
 
ensure your're leaning forward in your boots and have shin pressure, also have your knees bent and your skis about shoulder width apart, when you approach the jump release knee pressure but keep shin pressure that way you can keep your weight over the centre of your skis and won't load backsit
 
Do a lot of straight airs while really focusing on this and basically 'jumping' as oppose to just skiing off the jump. and just play around with it
 
Knees and shins forward, butt back, chest forward, and jump. Its almost like a squat but without the arms.. try to use your arms as little as possible because once you get more into like corks or other more technical tricks, your arms and shoulder will be preoccupied already
 
^what they were saying about shin pressure. But also a lot of it has to do with timing. You want to be popping as you leave the lip of the jump, not before. If you pop before the lip when throwing a spin you have an increased chance of hooking an edge on the lip and screwing yourself over big time. Really train yourself to pop at the right time or it will become a bad habit. I got in the habit of popping to early when I started freestyle and it took me forever to correct it.
 
Boom. If you actually think about extending to the point where you're standing perfectly straight with your arms out, it looks super dumb but its a great training technique. This guy is upside down, but this is the idea -

Literally blast off the takeoff jumping super high and completely extending your body. You can drop the lame super stiff extension later, but doing it for a few days will get you the idea of what you need.

You'll also notice that you'll go bigger when you pop properly. So be careful and adjust your speed accordingly.

 
T set! it looks stupid but makes you a much better jumper. just put press on the front of your boots and jump so hard off the lip that you look like a boner with wings (legs and back totally stiff), throw your arms out when you do this and you'll look like a T in the air
