The point of speeding is pretty pointless. Sure you may say an extra minute or two of time if you don't get pulled over, but if you get pulled over and given a ticket even once, you have just pissed away every minute of time you have likely ever gained from speeding. You will piss away 10-15 minutes sitting on the roadside waiting to get your ticket from the police. Then you will piss away a great deal of time going to court, only having to fork over money to the courts for the ticket, only to run the risk of paying higher insurance premiums when your insurance company finds out about your speeding habits (if you were assessed points). As a nice added bonus, you spend more in gas when you speed.
Coming from someone who got a slew of tickets when he was younger, I wish I had learned this a long time ago. I had to fork over FAR too much of my time and money to courts when I was younger, and looking back, I regret it.
I'm not saying that I NEVER speed, I would be lieing if I said that. However, I am much smarter about my speed now, and much more aware of how pointless true speeding (say more than 10mph over the limit) really is.
