How to fix skis sidewall

So here is my question. I checked the first few pages here and couldnt find a thread concerning this issue, so I just opened a new one.

Last weekend, I somehow chipped a part of my sidewall (line chronics) away, and now the wooden core is somehow exposed. I dont want water to get in there and everything, so I am looking for a fast and cheap way of fixing that sidewall. It doesnt have to look good or anything, it should just do its job for a little while longer

epoxy... fill it up excessively, let it cure, then trim it to fit smoothly with a stanley knife or something ...

once your sidewall is missing chunks, the ski is useless
