How to figure out if your friend is trolling?

hey guys,

i have this guy on pinkbike (biking website) who is interested in basically everything i have for sale and a lot of things my friends have for sale. now i believe i know who the kid is, but im trying to figure out if it is actually him or not. he only joined yesterday which makes me suspicious.

Can you somehow check the IP of the account and stuff like that? The name under the registered account is obv a fake.

i talk to him all the time, but he just claims its other people. and to the guy who posted above, where would i phone? There is no number posted.
 
Use your best judgement man. If he says he is trying to buy a lot of different unrelated things, he's probably going to scam you.
