How to dye bindings?

I have salomon x18's and i wanna dye them this summer. any advice for it? pictures would help +K

You can't dye bindings. The dye itself will be safe on plastics but the problem is is that the boiling hot water is really bad to be submerging bindings in because it can cause internal corrosion, and melt some components like soft rubber dirt shields that are found on many bindings. It might also dye the din window too dark making it unreadable. Also if a binding like the STH has split plastic and metal parts then only the plastic parts will take the dye and it will look bad anyways.

Yeah I'd recommend against it. Really isnt worth the risk, especially if they didnt take the dye. Plus what colour are the bindings? They would have to be all white or bright and light colours for any colour change to happen when dying.

I don't think that plastic will accept dye. If they are the bindings that I am thinking of, they are painted white. The only bindings that can be dyed are Markers. I dyed my griffin heels black, it does make it difficult to see the din numbers. As far as damage to the bindings, I doubt it will do anything. Being submerged in water is not an issue for bindings, and the dye won't so anything corrosive. You rinse in cold water anyway.

Dye? Fuck no. It'll never work.

Paint? Sure, but then you're risking paint getting inside and gumming up your works and it'll also chip like crazy guaranteed.

I'd just sell them if you really can't take the color. Not worth the dangers associated with spraying paint on them imo.

Fischer x18s are Tyrolias and have a ton of metal in the construction of the housings, so it won't dye.

If you really want to change the color of them, get some nail polish, and paint them.
