How to convince dad to let me backflip

I'm 14 and I plan to try to back flip this weekend. I've done it on an airbag multiple times and am very confident that I can stick it first try. I mentioned something about it to my dad and he started yelling at me saying he doesn't want to take care of me when I'm in a wheelchair. Usually my dads chill about this stuff and my moms on board with me going for it. Help me out NS

Your dad's not trying to be a dick, he's simply worried about you. It takes one simple mistake of inexperience or even just poor luck to break your neck. Putting your body upside down exponentially increases this risk. Talk to him about it, voice your opinions about practicing. In the end, there's not much he can do to stop you, but if something DOES go wrong and you did it without him saying ok, you'll feel like shit.

Also, in that scenario you'd be fucked up too.

Maybe ask your dad to come to a session with you at tramp city or whatever your town has? Show him you're capable.

My dad brought me to pcmr when ivwas 16. If we're gonna go in. the. Park you gotta hit all the features then I backfired kings crown

Tell him that you don't want to take care of him when he's in a wheelchair either then do your fucking backflip

you done messed up a-aron!!

never mention stuff you plan on doing, only show them after what you can do. I tried an on ground backflip (being 6'4" my parents def would of said no before hand) but then I showed my dad a video and he was just like like, "woah, cool. but be careful." so yeah.

When I was 13 my parents told me "we'll take your pass if you go upside down". Did some sloppy dick-suck tucks anyway. I then felt a sensation of uber-stokedness. I did one for my friend one time and he was skiing with his dad, and his dad ended up telling my parents. But they saw some vids and saw me get them on the tramp so they were cool with it. But for some reason they get all pissy when I do handrags.

It is positively contributing members of our society like you who keep America free. Thank you for looking out for this child. For looking out for our future.

Tell him that his scared-ass attitude is the reason why he was never able to double and get laid in his younger years.

Gangsters don't ask questions and gangsters definitely don't talk to police.

I went through the same argument with my dad multiple times and he agreed that after I had done one onto a water ramp i could do it to snow. If you can do it to an airbag i dont understand why they wouldnt let you

i actually had a similar conversation with my dad haha he was so against inverts. so i just did it one day and stuck it just like you said. you got it man

My conversation with my mom went like this:

"How was skiing today?"

"Good, did my first backflip"

"Wow that's really crazy, don't get hurt"

"I'll try not to"

I'm also 21 and live five hours away from here so it's a little different.

Tell him you'll volunteer at your local hills adaptive program. You'll help out rad people and get first hand perspective on the risks and it'll be a reminder for you to make smart descions. Even if your parents are into standing between you and happiness thats a hard compromise for them to turn down.

Just do it. You the fuck cares what he says?

I mean you've done it on an airbag, that's more than 95% percent of people before they huck their first to snow.

Just do it

That's funny. Basically the same thing my dad said to me when I was 14. And the I went and tried one anyway, fucked it up and broke my collar bone.

just tell him that you can do it easily. even when i was younger i didnt think that all those flips were cool but it had the most to do with the fact that i couldnt do them.

obviously flips are a lot more dangerous, and idk how many people every year are paralyzed from doing them or other sick tricks in the park. but thats just the risk you run into when youre skiing.

its very tough if it hits you, but in general, the risk is negligible if you stay within your limits.

Hmm...nevermind. I had you mixed up with the other teenaged retard. You're the 17 year old who pretended his grandma died while on winter vacation, right?
