How to change Pivot 18 base?

Does anyone know how to take apart the toe piece of a pivot 18 or how to change the bases? I’m trying to change the base because I bought it (used) with the touring base by accident (touring base is basically the same just made of metal) and I wanted to change the base to the standard plastic base to make them a little lighter. Basically trying to switch the base on the white pivot to a base like what’s on the sliver pivot. Any help is appreciated!

Unscrew the din screw (big one in the front) all the way off, wiggle the main housing loose and tilt it forward, pull the big metal pin out the back of the main housing. Make sure you note the location and proper orientation of all the washers/spacers while taking it apart so you put it back together correctly.

Just so you know, the touring base from the cast system isn’t the same as the normal base when it comes to mounting. It requires a mounting plate from cast touring.

undo the screw at the front and she'll come apart. There's 3 main pieces to the toes; the base plate, the metal shell and the spring. If you aren't completely incompetent you'll be able to figure it out
