Ive tried every which way any program i download to view or convert has some kinda catch "you can only convert 10 secs ov video" or "buy full version to convert" does anyone have any idea what program i can use to view these files on a mac. I just got this new camera but wtf

Yeah they will open in premiere and most video editing programs. The trial of Clipwrap converts up to 2 minutes I think.

I was having issues with this as well when i converted to an avchd camera from a dslr. here is a thread that might shine some light. https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/705579/

Also, I was using the workflow that i mention in that thread until recently i cut it in about half by getting a program called Wondershare video converter ultimate. It basically does the same thing as mpeg streamclip however it is able to actually read .mts files and you dont have to re-wrap them with clipwrap.

hopefully some of this helps.

also, depending on what OS you have. just pressing space with the clip highlighted in your finder should bring the video up. I know for a fact this works in lion and mountain lion. otherwise if you only want to view them use vlc.

GH2?

I used 5DtoRGB, it only does one clip at a time tho. I just bought the 50 dollar version, I use it enough.

Clipwrap is the best for mts files. Only do this if you're on mac and use fcp.

But now im on windows and use mts in adobe.

If you just wanna watch clips, use VLC.

It might be more difficult for your computer to render (laggy while editing.) Give it a try and if it works without converting, you don't need to convert.
