Ive heard that sponsors used to not know how much to pay athletes for skiing so they earned alot but damn did head and redbull really fork over enough cash for a multimillion dollar house and several quarter million dollar cars?

He's been in the game for years, has huge deals with red bull and head, runs his big ol youtube channel and owns douchebags as well as most likely investing in things.

Baller Guy

I take jon to be a pretty smart guy. He saw he was at the forefront of a sport that was about to explode. He fought for the contracts he got and invested his money well. I think people know only see him having fun but I bet jon works his ass off today and worked even harder when he was an up and coming athlete/businessman. Cant knock him.

what the scholars above me said, plus i think jon is way bigger/more well known in europe than skiers are here in the US. so that could help explain why he'd have bigger paychecks from his endorsement deals and shit

and yeah he just played his cards super well. it's not surprising, i mean the dude had a long and illustrious career skiing and hardly ever got hurt (even though he was there to watch simon and tanner both die in 2005, for example). dude is calculated...and GOOD

Professional skiers are bigger than rock stars in Europe. And racers are an even bigger deal. They have sponsorships and do promotional stuff even after they’ve retired from skiing. Jon isn’t just sponsored by Red Bull and Head.

I ask myself this exact question all the time. He also barely ever skis anymore. Quite the mystery.

Some of his youtube videos are really cool. Most vlogs on youtube nowadays are cringeworthy but its sick to see a freeskier like Jon doing whatever the hell he wants. shows that you can make money doing whatever you want

I'm guessing there is some family wealth involved. But stuff like his cars he probably has worked out a lot of promotional deals with various things and isn't paying full retail for a lambo.

His family has had a large role.

Isn't his dad a cop? Not saying there isn't some kind of family money, but if his vlogs are any indication, his parents seem to live pretty modestly.

I'm pretty sure he just cashed in all of the volvo shares he was given per swedish birthright tradition at the perfect moment and converted all of it into ass pennies. thats when his net worth really started to take off.

Strong work ethic and non stop hustling add up in the end. Anyone can start with a 36-40k a year job (no student debt), remodel a house in their spare time, flip it, move up.. imagine what you could do with a sizeable amount of money to start with

Bring back JOSS!!

Jon doesn’t reply to IG comments about it, he’s too busy doing awesome shit with his gorgeous wife in Dubai and shit. Fuck dubai.

Holy fck. Id never checked out his Insta or Vlogs before, just read stuff on newschoolers. Jon is a certified BALLER now. Honestly, just hyped to see "one of our own" doing so well.

...but forreal bring back JOSS

laundering money and handing off his lambos to the russian mob for sub-par rates.... you really think he gets all his wealth through sponsorships from legitimate business?

Does anyone even know how much his net is worth? I mean the endorsements and the advertising campaigns are the reason he owns such extravagant property. I recently started thinking about the fact that my finances are a little bit all over the place. It always seemed like something non important but in the end I feel like I have no idea what my current financial situation is. I've started looking online to find a reliable way to calculate my net worth and I recently came over a fairly good article with decent options on how to find out what's the state of your finances. (You can check it here: www.juststartinvesting.com) I've downloaded some apps and started keeping a closer eye on my credit/debt situation and honestly it's a great feeling to know that I am more in control of my personal finances. I know I can do more and afford more.

For some reason Jon Olsson’s funding is shrouded in mystery. I find it strange that a person who lives to share his life hasn’t made it clear to us. This leads me to believe its family money or a trust fund.

From what ive heard his family wasnt rich at all. he made quite a lot of money from racing and converted it over to freeskiing. but from what I can tell he has made the bulk of his money from his brands because they are slightly mainstream and targeted at the rich in Europe. Not to mention selling his home in Marabella probably netted him a good profit.

In a article it says he makes about $800 a day from youtube which is $300,000 a year. Add on all of his companies and his wife does youtube and has her own clothing line. They are making some good money between the two.

That is likely their main source of cash flow

His YouTube channel became big enough to be profitable 5 years ago.

His houses and cars before then have a different story to them.

Makes sense, he also did marry into a very wealthy family. I believe Janni's dad owns many high-end restaurants.

don’t forget his income from douchebags

I only know of this brand through his blogs, that being said I’ve never seen anyone using them or taking about them. I don’t think they are making him over $100,000/year (that’s a stretch). If if they were, it’s still not paying for 3+ multi-million dollar houses, sport cars, and expensive lifestyle.

There is something missing.
