ok so i see these threads of people gettin parks skis in 170's and there 6 feet tall, anf then there are people who are 5' 3" and there getting skis in the 170's

so my question is what is the SUGGESTED  height at getting skis for people, like ive herd nose or eyebrows

whart are the advanteges for having longer or shorter skis?

now my personal preferenace is letting the ski round over my head for park and have a few inches above my head for allmountain/powder is that resonable? or am i crazy? i know its all preferance but serriosly what do you like and what are suggested considering that youl probably be riding center on most skis?

tanks for da help mon

well im 5'1 and on 151, id reccomend like 165 for people my height, i plan to get like high 160's low 170's for my skis next season

right now i'm 5'5" and rockin 151 AR3's. There around my chin/lip area. Next year im gonna get 171 anthems which are aproximetly 5'8" and thats my projected height

ok so heres a little bit for ya... in the park you can go either way on size i own a couple park skis, im 5' 6" and i have the dumonts (176) and the scratch fs (167), i feel more stable hitting jumps with a longer ski but then you have more swing weight, but a shorter ski like my scratches are also good for learning new spins, spins onto boxes and the pipe, but when you want to go boost big hits both in the pipe and on jumps i prefer a longer ski such as my dumonts...so in my experiences i prefer the longer ski considering i dont go out and throw 9's all over the park like it aint no thang... but yes in the pow or all over the mountain you can deffinatley ride a considerably longer ski

well i like them around my nose i got two sets i got 169 fugis for all mtn and 4frnt stl's 167 for park and i'm 6'2"

as it is i have 147's stl's (butter/beater/fun ski), 161's ar6's (jibi/park) and 172's lizzies (park/allmountain/powder) so i have a huge range of skis and im 5' 3"ish one pair at lips and (they seem really short to me), one an inch shorter than me and the others are like 4 inches taller than me, so l know you want taller skis for allmountain/powder but could someone like me go for 180's and not be over killed?

I'm 5'7ish and 125 pounds. I ride 172 blends. Bobby i doubt you could get away with a ski thats 180. kinda overlength. a ski you cant control isnt fun

im not thinkin of gettin new skis for a while, well not for powder,  but i am thinkin of gettin the moment reno rockers  but they only come in a 181 so iduno

Im 6'2" and ive been rocking 185 ARVs this season centermounted, and I have liked them alot. For next season though I am gonna go to a 178 J.O. Pro or a 176 Dumont. A shorter ski will be fun to have for a season I think.
