How should I go about repairing this edge

Not sure if this should be in gear talk but oh well. I just bought a pair of black crow ferox’s off fb for 20$ and they are in decent condition, except there is like a 4 inch piece of edge missing on one ski. I don’t really know the best way to repair it because it is so big and I’ve never seen something like this. Any opinions would be appreciated

It looks like the edge is there. You just missing sidewall?

If so. I’d go find some wood. A lil metal. Get metal in both sides. Get metal into ski. West systems GFlex.

main goal is to reinforce that part of the edge that’s barely on the ski.

This is worth a try but more than likely the skis are well on their way to the grave.

If you set your expectations low you should be satisfied either way. use the money you didn’t spend on a new ski for a couple three way clamps, 2 step epoxy (gflex etc) and some sidewall material you can buy on the internet.

take your time and watch some people doing some similar repairs and with some luck you should be smooth sailing. Edge looks fine so as long as your fix is nice and bonded to every part (use tons of epoxy and remove later) you might get some more life out of the ski.
