How safe is what i just did?

My pair of TM's had 3 sets of holes. One for FKS, one Solly, and one set of Axial2's. The FKS and Solly were plugged, Axial2's were not.

What i did was drill out the plugs for the FKS and mount another pair of them on there in my basement.

So how safe does that sound?

None just sitting in my basement lol

And what i figure is that if i fuck em up and rip out, what the hell. I couldnt mount them again anyways

It's fine. I've done it many times, including once for my own skis. No need for inserts.

Ok. The only thing that i am skeptical about is that they are all mounted for a 316 BSL all at center or +1. So all the holes are really close

Id say you have a 50/50 chance of pull out disaster/ being fine.

why though- did you do all this? WHy do you have so many hole patterns in your skis?

If they held before, they'll hold again. Providing no-one fucked up the holes taking screws out or whatever. Have your shop epoxy them if you want to be sure they'll stay. Personally I'd ride them til I had problems and helicoil anything that rips out.

Well i bought them with one set of holes, the FKS, and then mounted up the Solly's and skied on them. I broke those, so i remounted with the Axial2's and broke those and sent em back for warranty.

And i wanted a ski to have in the summer for urbans, DNA Evolution tour, etc.

I just read the original post again. So there are open holes from the Axial heel? You should plug those. Or at a minimum fill them with glue.
