not enough. i have now rode 9 park days (between 6-10 hours each) on the same wax. and im sticking to rails like super glue. time for a wax bigtime. just working every day makes it hard to wax
Depends. I just look at my skis after each day. I can tell when they need waxed and when they dont. Usually ends up being every other day of skiing (6-8 hour days)
Skiing dry pow I like to get a wax as often as I can afford to, if only because the cat tracks tend to be really sticky.
Most of the year I'll do a quick wax every 4-6 ski days, although in spring when it's all slush I don't really bother as I figure good base structure is more important then anyway.
This is most likely because your skis are too cold when you scrape them or apply the wax. Is the wax chipping off? or is it just a pain because your edgers catch the scraper?
if you like your skis and having nice bases do it about every other to every third time you go up because the wax soon soaks into the pores of the bases and make the bases stronger.
No. You should not believe everything people tell you. Especially when they are trying to sell you overpriced products and services.
This sums it up in a short read. There is no scroll bar, but it scrolls with the arrow keys. This article includes quotes from major wax and base manufactures saying that bases do not have pores
