How much money should I expect to spend on food in the austrian alps?

I'm booking a 14 day trip to Warth, Austria for next January, and I'm trying to figure out how much money I need for food and such each day. Any locals or people who've been there that can give some crude estimates? I have accommodation where I can cook my own food, so I'm planning to do that as much as possible, but I still need to eat out while I'm on the slopes. Any other tips appreciated as well.

Buying food/ingredients at the local grocery stores will be roughly as expensive as shopping at your normal grocery store at home. You can make it as cheap or fancy as you need. It kinda depends though where you will be- smaller resorts are usually cheaper than fancy glaciers. But try shopping at Billa or Spar or MPreis, and not at Merkur (it's always the most expensive option).

Eating at restaurants in town will be for sure more expensive, but the cheaper restaurants will be touristy garbage (in my opinion). Same goes for when eating at one of the alms on the mountain. Lunch there will run you anywhere from 10-15€ for basic stuff, and 20€ for something more betterer.

Thanks dude! That helps a lot.

I suggest making sandwiches for lunch as you will find that almost everything served on the mountain will be deep fried and served with chips. Anything that isn't is super bulky and sits real heavy in you stomach. Gets really sickly really quick. But I was there for a whole season, you may enjoy that since it's only a couple of weeks!

Oh and go hard on the radlers, goes down easy and doesn't leave you with a dehydrated headache! You will apres like you never have before, most bars don't get busy until 11-12 and are open until around 6-7am.
