i've wondered this forever,how much does ns cost to run?

I remember the early days were Harvey would put out warnings and would not let people watch videos on curtain days because the website was running out of the memory or what ever it is from their hosts. He was constantly uprgading to different services and shit.

 
Actually JD we do have a hosting company out of Houston, Texas that takes care of our server. As far as cost, the hosting itself comes to hundreds of dollars (USD) per month.

The main cost for the site however is keeping the staff living - which is actually happening thanks to the hard work of Doug and NoPoles.

On the bandwidth issue, right now we have 2 TB per month, and crazy as it seems we'll be needing another one soon if traffic continues the way it has been over the last couple of months.

it's all very exciting.

That's impressive, I would have thought you'd run the thing off your own hardware, but at 2 TB, I can see why you'd pay someone else to do it. That is quite the large chunk of data.

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

so uh...why don't you guys take the time to do some site modifications to unload soem of the server pressures and transfer amounts?

I've seen harvey's code for the forums before and I KNOW there were lots of place where some mods could've been made. No offense to him intended...when you start php (or even are good at it) you get a lot better over time w/experience and you can tell a huge difference between original and new(er) code.
