How much woul dit run me to purchase a ski press? I need this info...

A press for a ski that you can adjust the settings for different models is about $300,000. A boot mold, which cannot adjust, is $200,000 each. Thats why you dont see many boot companies with a huge selection of sizes, and why their boots are basically the same shape.

This is also why most ski companies have very similar shapes to them, with differences being only in length and width, but same basic design.

this is why most ski companies share the factories with other ski companies.

i could can make a ski press at my high school, because I am in CAD for half the year and do regular school for half the year, technical schools kick ass but the girls are mostly ugly, so ya I can make ski presses, design it then have Machine Tech make it

in skiing magazine or one of those other gaper mags they had an article on how to make your own skis a couple years ago. you could try searching for that issue.

yeah word levinthal made his own, if you or somebody you know has got the skills then make one yourself. why do u want to make a ski press anyways, just fuckin buy a pair of skiis unless you are planning on starting a really serious business.

i worked for the guy that made levinthals first presses and you can make one for under two grand

yeh the mag is free, in Canada anyways... would you need to modify the press to make different ski constructions or you could use it to make all the different type (cap, sandwhich etc...)

dodgeball and nuts = a few guys on the floor crying and many laughing
