How much did your ski rack system cost?

I'm getting a sedan w/ a bare roof - nothing on it

looking to buy locally

so my question is, how much did you pay for your rack system?

i'm looking to buy these two things (not necessarily yakima & thule, although probably)

$25 at a garage sale yo!

Roof racks are reall expensive, if you aren't willing to drop that much money rent one. Maybe you have a rack ultra near by (www.rackultra.com) if not hold em down with bungee cords like guys at my hill. not a real big help, sorry
 
$50 worth of steel, $60 for welding supplies and $60 for misc = rack and accessories equiv of over $1200 from thule
 
Attaching it is simple, I did mine myself in like 30 minutes and I had a completely bare roof too.
 
$150 online but that was only because I couldn't find one on craigslist, my buddy got his for $60 on there.
 
i bought mine a wayyy long time ago. but with q towers q clips, bars, ski attachments, fairing, and locks your looking at about 400 new
 
seconded. i like thules roof mounted stuff better than yakimas, i dont like the round bars, but i like some of yakimas other racks (hitch mount with a bottle opener built in? dope) a lot

foot kit, 150, fit kit (if needed) 50, crossbars 65, and ski rack is like 120 area
 
man, shits getting outrageous. considering half the people are kids who might work part time, i dont kno how rack sales are still so strong.
