Just wondering how many sets of poles you guys have!

Seeing as there are different length requirements for different types of skiing e.g. park/all mountain/pow

(Im trying to convince myself buying another pair of poles is worth it, i gotta pair of poles which fit me but they're a bit too long for park, not sure if i should just cut em down and use them everywhere or just buy another pair and keep my other ones for all mountain!)

I'm 5'9". I have one pair for park/cruising that is about 38", one pair for GS races and powder that is 42", and slalom which are close to 50" and get used like 6 days a year because the wrist guards are a pain in the ass.

If I were you I would just borrow/liberate a pair of rental poles and cut them down shorter for park. You could probably get away with just scavenging for 2 of any size, gapers tend to leave them all over at my home mtn.

I have two. Some really crappy value village poles that are cut down for park and some adjustable poles for touring and powder

Poles are cheap, if you want a shorter pair I say go for it. There are some short line poles in the evo outlet right now for $23.

Thanks guys! Picked up a real cheap pair for like $18 in the exact size i was looking for (85cm) they got some pretty swanky graphics so i think ill just wrap em in some duct tape or something.

Thanks!

I have short as fuck line poles for park and shit and the adjustable nice poles for pow, touring, and all mountain and it works grreat

I'm 6'3" so 50" poles feel like short poles.

I'm also 6'3" and 50" poles are fucking huge, not short. 42" is just about perfect for all around skiing.

Im 6'3" and 40ish inch poles are great.

I have 3. Park poles, Adjustable touring poles, and then a long pair of poles I use for pow skiing. the second two are pretty much the same in reality

I have to pairs but I don't use either. Except for POW days and Moguls but over here on the icecoast we have no POW days so they sit in my room. But my poles are around 50" and (40 or 38"). Panda i heard was really good but so is leki in my opinion.

I have shorter poles for park/moguls, GS poles for the GS skis, and adjustable poles with pow baskets for all mtn and pow, which I use probably 80% of the time
