How many pairs of skis did you go through this season?

less than one. Both my park skis and BC skis are 4 years old. I cannot imagine anyone accept maybe Hoodcrew stair skiers using more than 5 pairs of skis in a season.

I've had the same pair of Salomons for like 4 years now. How can someone go through 5 pairs of skis who isn't a pro and hitting urban on a regular basis? That's a couple grand every year.

Sometimes I get the vibe kids on here snap skis at home then post it to seem badass, by sometimes i mean all the time.

I've been riding on the old head mad_trix for 4 years. They were very, very used when I bought them and have been mounted 4 times.

Shit got sketch this last April.

But hey, they were only 8 bucks!

It's time for new skis...

I've been riding my Morphics for two seasons now and they've only got a couple of scratches and one chip. Seriously, what the fuck do you people to break your skis so much?

I have a pair of pocket rockets, rental skis , still shreds.

...and then get mom to fork over the credit card for next season's skis

I have a solid job, but if I went through a pair of skis a season I would find a new pass time. Skiing is too expensive as it is. If I spend hundreds of dollars on something, I expect it to last for a while.

I didn't break any this season.

I think it was 2 seasons ago, I switched skis with my friend who had rentals. I ended up snapping them knuckling a jump. It was pretty funny.

I went through 5... Freeway can really mess up your skis with all that impact.

was doing some cork 5's in midle of july and like caught my tail and snapped it off(was a atomic infamous, got if for 120€ tho)and broke a pair at a waterramp a week ago

Did not break, but destroyed the crap out my brand new salomons this past season. Worked all winter to save up some money to drop on some new planks, so looking forward for this season.

Most of my sets only last a couple of weeks, usually blow the felx out of the core and they just loose all response, Libery Morphics lasted two weeks, Fischer Watas a month and Kastle FX94's lasted a couple of weeks before my skiing along had added a lot of tip rocker to them. Usually trash most of the bases with rock strikes, its the perils of a low snow season in Europe and skiing in Scotland.

Bought some chronics at the beginning of the season and tore out the edge in the spring, then I let my buddy borrow them and he snapped em. Got some J skis that I used all summer and they seem to be holding up alright.

Pow skis are good.

Park skis - still fast.

Urban skis - base grinded last year.

Should last another few seasons.

Sort of broke my head johnny 94s. The whole base is delaming from the edge of the ski. Water is getting into the core. This starded only 10 days in. I retired my fully duck tapped together arvs last season as well. They had about 85 days on them.

I destroy a pair of blanks ( hold up pretty good for such a cheap ski) , and using my 2nd one a ninthward , pretty stable and good except for the topsheets that are horrible and didnt pay for them ahhaha

rails break skis.. the more rails the more cracked edges the sooner they start to come out... that being said skis without edges under the boot really dont bother me.. last year i rode one high society ski and one old armada ARV... got some funny looks and comments but they were almost identical in size and shape and close enough in the flex, so i figured fuck it.. oh and to answer the question guess i broke 1.5 pairs haha

ripped out most of my edge on my halos in December then my jskis came in the mail the next day. been riding them 3 to 4 times a week until the season ended and they're still in mint condition.

My atomicski lasted 2 seasons but they were a shitty entrance level park ski. Compressed an edge in and pulled out the edges at the tips. Glued them and now they're my urban skis.

I bought a pair of future spins at the start of the season then they held up until up at momentum they snapped on the airbag

Blew the edges out on a pair this last season and got some Ninthwards too and they seem to hold up well so far except for gouges in the top sheets and mad chipping

This season I snapped 3 individual S4s behind the binding, and beat the shit out of my pow skis (3 seasons old).

Even though breaking skis is never an option for me I have broken 2 pairs in my lifetime. One being surfaces, when I was like 12 and I thought they were cool. And the second pair was a super old pair of hand me down masterminds from a friend. Those things were doomed as soon as I got them though. I ride recoils now and it wont happen.

First pair of skis I ever broke were my surfaces last year, for next year I have a pair of recoils and my buddy's old masterminds lol

Split the core of my punx length wise and have tons of core shots, but they haven't snapped and still slide.

Did 3 pairs, two from manufacturer's defects and one was able to be repaired enough to use on the summer setup.

been skiing on the same Icelantic DaNollies for the last 3 seasons. Over those season i think the worst damage was just chips out of the top sheet. well until ths past spring when a few friends and I decided to set up a late season jib sesh. The edge on one of the tails is looking like its going to blow out real soon, but fuck it.
