How many of you dont have center mounts?

its fucking retarded to center mount skis. I mounted skis for plently of pros, and plus 4 is more then enough. Center mounting skis is rougly +8.5 on a 174 ski, which is alot. Dont do it, it will make them ride like shit. the only positive side to center mounting is that you can officaly say that you are gay.

if the skis were ment to be center mounted, they whould have the mount line there.

im just mounting mine where it says to mount em ( Big air, on tyhe mad tricks)

Centre mounting isn't all good. The sidecut on most, if not all, skis is NOT designed for it. Even a very progressive sidecut won't be properly designed for it. As for PEs, mounting them at +3, where many people seem to mount, isn't mounting them at centre, and I think that mounting them any more forward than 4 voids your warranty. And yes, they can tell where your bindings were mounted.

the only pair of skis i ever had center mounted was the old orange 1260's

then i got new scratches and they are at the normal line and feel much better

ya center mount does sux. i had the hela old white 1260s center mounted and they skied like shit. in powder ud jus front flip if u leaned forward at all. and the guy with the trix mount them in big mountain. that wat i did and there sick.

 
on the scratches it says modern and traditional mounting lines, is modern the same as center mount? pros and cons of center mounting please, i know right now that i'm out of the park more than often and wouldn't benefit from center mounting, but still would like to know

modern is plus 2, where on the 174 scratch center mounting is +8.5 cm. big differance. go with the forward mouting line, you will be fine.

and the only good thing about center mount is its easier to jump onto and slide rails (at least for me)

this is a little off topic, but I dont know shit about bindings (I'm trying to learn to get a job in a ski shop next year)

I'm pretty sure I'm getting PEs this year. Everyother time I've gotton new skis, I've had my dads friend (owns ski shop) choose where to put the bindings, depending on height, weight, ability, ect. So this year should I tell him to mount them at +3 or should I just let him decide? I've known him my whole life, so he knows how good I am and whatnot and I trust him with my skis. but I've never gotten twins before so I wouldnt know where to mount them and whatnot.

u dont choose where your bindings are being mounted by your height and weight. thats the DIN setting, its the amount of pressure it takes for the binding to release. all skis have a line on them that shows where to mount the bindings

 
i center mounted my skis last year. not doing it this year

i got mine mounted in between the center and regular mounts, split the difference exactly, will that really hurt my all mtn and pow?
