How long is good for park

im 5'8"/5'9" and i plan on getting 171 invaders...my fujatives are 169 and they are at forhead level...but friends have talked to me wuts good for freestyle...do shorter skis make it better for freestyle? should i go for the 161cm invader? pls i need feedback before i buy
 
noooo noooo nooooo, noooo 161s, not good, i don't know what you should get but i know not that, i usually go by you can stick your forehead in the curve for the nose, average hieght
 
161 pretty short for a skiiny ski, but alot of people have gotten into this whole long ski thing in the park which is pointless in my opinion, I would go for something like a 168-174
 
get ones that are just over your forehead...171's. i ride fujatives that are nose height and they are sick as hell but they are weird
 
^long skis help in park in so many ways. the longer ski helps slow down your spin, so it is more in control. if you have your skis center mounted, and your carving is inhibited, longer skis can give you more speed. personally, i feel way more comfortable on a long pair of skis.
 
yeh my fujatives are at the top of the forehead (maybe a bit higher) but with the 171s i should be all set for park? (i always get pissy and worried when buying new skis lol)
