i can't believe you said 6 hours chad...did your driver have like maaaaaad a.d.d. and stop to look at every fucking thing on the way...or was he just a pussy when theres less than a cm of snow on the ground?? it took my family with me and my dad driving less than 2.5 to get there last year...mid you that was under ideal road conditions and going like average of 130km/h
haha ya, he probably took the way throught radium and invermere, and driving it only took us about 3 hours, so we mad good time, and i only saw one cop all day which was nice, and i remembered to slow down to 60 when passing him!!!!!!lol
haha ben, you only have to slow to 60km/h IF they have their lights flashing...any vehicle with flashing lights on you can't pass over 60km'h or you get like $600+ tickets!!
no erik, the guy had pulled someone over so the lights were flashing, and it was a good thing the person ifront of me slowed down, or i would have passed the cop going like 120 atleast
somebody doesn't have their license is this thread apparently...but yea, driving alone is gay, gotta have ppl with you...unless the roads are sketchy in which case i have no music and tell ppl to stfu
It was the most fun when I got to drive my fathers BMW all the way up to Fernie myself. Boy oh boy did I look like the hot shit. Pulling up to the hill sauntering out. It flew too, I got their in way under 3 hours. Be careful for those traveliing to Fernie in the next little while. Their are two sections of highway that have been washed out because of summer rain, and at one part it is one lane traffic and that is the only time I have ever seen a police car en route to Fernie. Yeah like Spencer said. Take Highway 2 into Nanton and turn right to Chain Lake turn off and go Left all the way to the Fern dog. It actaully is a little bit slower route to take but more fun to drive because it is not straight the whole way.
i think that the road i took, where u have to go through black diamond and shit, its a damn fun road, as soon as i get the skyline i an hitting that road
When I went there over chirstmas break we stopped there and my buddy bought the Godzilla pack. It cost $200 and came with loads of fireworks... so fun.
Yeah, but clearly you didn't turn left at a stop sign right by the Chain Lakes Sign. It's a two way stop. If you go the way you are taking you will go straight and blow right past the chain lakes sign, but if you go the other way, you turn left at the chain lakes sign and go down the same road you were taking. It's really all preference on which road to take. In all honesty I would rather people take the black Diamond route because it makes the Nanton route much less busy.
