The “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff at CBS has begun to take serious shape, as the Eye has handed the project a pilot production commitment.

In late October, news broke that CBS was in talks with 20th Century Fox TV for a spinoff that had a femme perspective, but a deal had yet to be secured. Social media quickly weighed in on the “How I Met Your Dad” concept, with many fans of the show delighting in more “HIMYM”-like material, given that the comedy is set to end after its current ninth season. Others, however, groaned and questioned the necessity of such a spinoff.

Nevertheless, “How I Met Your Dad” is moving forward, with “HIMYM” creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays writing and exec producing with “Up All Night” creator Emily Spivey. 20th, the studio behind “HIMYM,” will produce.

Comedy is dubbed a kindred spirit of “HIMYM,” and tells that story from a female point of view. The story will be brand new, with new characters and a new voice at its center.

But seriously, who wants to watch a show about tampons and calorie counting?
 
I can't wrap my head around why people liked that show. Same goes for Big Bang theory. It's so bad, you feel awkward watching it.
 
It's going to be such a horrible piece of garbage. I hope it fails midway through the first season and everyone just forgets about it
 
Yeah I actually sort of agree with this, I can watch them when nothing else is on but other than that it's stupid.

In HIMYM, Ted is just a bitch complaining about how he can't find a good girlfriend and bitches at barney for sleeping with robin, robin doesn't like you Ted, go fucking kill yourself and stop whining you bitch, and he claims "part of the bro code bro", yeah that's why whenever barney tells you to obey the bro code you bitch out and whine like the cunt you are

And Sheldon's character in BBT is just so awkward and usually always hard to watch, like how the fuck does that little pussy get with a fine piece of ass like that, the story line is decent but there's a limit

Going to disagree. Most plots are far-out in some sense. HIMYM is far better than Big Bang Theory. The dialogue in Theory is so bad it's unbelievable. Ever listen to it without the laugh tracks? Atleast they have conversations in HIMYM.
