How hard are frontside 450s

So my current hill just built their big park with a massive upward tube that I’ve been dying to hit + 450 a bit ago and I’ve gone hard in the paint learning how to hit + 270 off most tubes/flat rails. What I wanna know is how hard is it to step up to a frontside 450 off of something that’ll give me enough hang time to possibly get silly. I can’t really 360 that well hahaha but I feel like I’ve got a solid handle on my frontside 270s. What do y’all think?

real fuckin easy mane

you’re gonna want to set for a front 2 but wind your body up and just yank it at the end of the rail

Hell yeah! Definitely sending it right away this weekend lmaoo all the encouragement I needed.

You can do it the one thing that stopped me from getting them at first is I was spotting my landing at 270, I have to keep on looking over my shoulder to continue the rotation to 450.

For reference here is how bad I am currently at 270s off a down rail

Oh yeah the rail I’m doing it off of is a straight upward tube that’s like 12ft long so I’ll have more than enough room

You’re probably going to need something bigger, work on really popping onto the rail and hugging it that way it’s easier to spin off.

this, you just gotta set it and forget it. it'll come around

Gotta start pedaling/gripping with the front right foot early..front two you don't really have to scissor aggressively. While scissoring bend your knees (a bit similar to the triple threat position in basketball, but skiers version). Prepare to pop off the rail but slightly before you even pop you're going to have to throw your shoulders to the right...hard. Then in unison, swing your shoulders and waist around until you spot landing going forward thus a 450. Probably going to have a hard time if you can't 360 yet. Try to get your 360's down even on flatground to emphasize the quickness you have to throw your shoulders with.

Great point, I think I’m gonna have to give 360s a go beforehand to try and get the spin motion more down

I just got my first front 4 last weekend on my first try it was crazy easy idk why I haven't tried before. If you can do 2s pretty easily, the 4 will be easy too on the right rail.

This is what I love to hear, definitely trying it might even throw together a rookie edit for here

As someone said, hard part is spotting past 270. Also lifting your knees up will help get the spin around solid. I find the front 4 either comes around effortlessly or I get stuck at 270. With the blind 4 it's easier to get past 270, but I also shuffle it around more often instead of landing bolts.

Basically what people have already said. Just make sure you really grab the rail with your skis so you don't lose energy from the unwind. Don't let the scissor spin you too early. Feel the heel and toe pressure.
