How far can demo bindings be moved (toe and heel)?

Just wondering if typical demo bindings can be moved back and forth (i.e. from center mount to traditional).

I understand that I would have to readjust the forward pressure and that it wouldn't be as simple as the Marker Schizo system.

If anyone has demo bindings (let me know which ones), how far can the "mounting point" of the binding be changed by moving the toe/heelpieces?

 
Depends on the demo binding. Marker griffons allow the toe and heel to slide anywhere, px series demos have gross adjustment in the toe and fine in the heel.

Whatever you're thinking, just don't. They're more expensive, more moving parts, and moving them around like you're thinking is a recipe for breaking yourself - they're not meant to hold someone in that far out of the intended mount.
 
It's not a bad idea in terms of working out were you want to mount but if your a aggressive skier there are not many demo bindings which will work well.

But in terms if moving forward and back you can usually move tem maybe 4cm if you are around a 26 size. The bigger your boot the less adjustment forward and back you will get, but if you have smaller feet you will get much more adjustment.

When demoing skis I do it all the time. Astray off at manufacturers recommended then move them forward or back to find where works best for me.

As long as you can use a 12 din binding then go for them if you want, but I can almost garentee you once you find where they work beat for you, you will not move them again.

So my advice would be demo, work out where you want to mount an then just mount a regular binding there
 
One thing to add is, quite often demo bindings can be converted into regular bindings just by changing the plates. Most demos are just regular bindings with differnt plates, so you could convert. But you will end up with extra holes in your ski that way
 
I used demo bindings the nic if yiou want to let friends borrow your skis with the on the fly adjustment but they get youba littl higher of the ski
