How does Sugarloaf still have snow?

sugarloaf got a lot of late season snow and this summer has been pretty cold. only a handful of days pushing 80 degrees here on the maine coast
 
There were a lot of random big piles when I was skiing it at the end of May, so a patch doesn't surprise me too much
 
Nice the Loaf is legit. I grew up in Kingfield and actually was just back there recently, didn't see that patch of snow though (wasn't looking very hard though). Although if you are looking for summer snow the east coast is not the place you need to be.
