How do you?

I used file2hd.com once and the video I felt lost quality some but of all of them it is the only one that doesn't seem super sketchy.

I have done lots and lots of experimenting with this. The best website to do it is keepvid, which converts it to mp4 when you download. If you are using firefox, though, get the add-on greasemonkey and then on youtube videos you will see a "download" button. Keepvid works jsut was well.

yes, i realize thats not what you were asking, but i had this problem before too when i was trying to use movie maker. i then proceeded to download sony vegas 9.0 pro, and it worked perfectly. so, i was simply trying to help you out by giving you advice that worked for me when i was in your situation

Ok thanks i downloaded vegas 9 and i can get the file into the program. It saves as a .veg though, is there any way that I can change that? Also when i try to convert it to an Mp4 it says that there is a missing codec and something about parameters so it can't do it.

i never used this program but it should be something like file-export-media and then you choose the file type you want it to be exported
