How do you make this effect?

it looks so sick, and i have no experience in video/photography editing at all. So help me out please NS?

im pretty sure you hold the shutter open on the camera do let all the light in while u draw the shapes, and then take the picture. i could be wrong

^Holding shutter open = taking picture.

Yeah those pictures are super simple, but usually have to be done with a DSLR i think. (I don't know any point and shoots that caqn do that)

But all you have to do is setup the camera on a tripod (to maintain stability) then set the shutter speed to something like 10-30" or Bulb mode and hold the shutter open while you draw.

no you guys are doing it wrong. its a slow shutter with a flash. as in: pitch black place, set your shutter speed to 30 seconds or something and activate the flash so you can freeze him also

ive done it without a flash, i guess it would look better with though

yah its the best way to freeze him and have him sharp

if your flash has the ability, shoot it using back curtain sync, it'll freeze the person better
