anyone done it before?

as far as i know you use baltic birtch plywood and glue 2 1/4" pieces together or 4 1/8" pieces togeter after you've bent them a bit. but like how long and wide do you make it?

i made a 6 footer last year and also a 1 footer so its unlimeted really the 6 footer was a foot and a half wide.

theres some good sites on the internet that provide step by step directions... essentially you shape the board with a jigsaw, then bend it with weight distributed in the middle...

yeah i took a look at them and they helped a lot, but i just don't really know what a good size would be, and this is my first board so i was thinking i should keep it pretty simple. so what's the average specs of a longboard like 4'x1'?

also, witch way do you bend it? up so it goes flat when you stand on it or down so it bends even more when you stand on it?

It should have some camber if you can figure that out. A flat board won't ride bad though, it'll just not be as snappy for jumpin into carves. Kind of like skis, reverse camber skis blow compared to a regular camber ski on groomers and such.

yea 10 ply ply wood and then thomson water seal it. My friend has a company called bean that makes them but differently then I do

my friends made their own, and after riding them, i would definitely recommend you use the make some money and just buy one technique, because wow theirs sucked.
