How do you hold onto the memories

What's your method to remember a day or a season. Do you write everything down, use a catalog of pictures or do nothing at all and just relish in the feel you get when we feel that glimmer of a day that stands out. I personally write down my day every time I click in and make a turn. This season I even got prints off photos and dated to catalog the year and match with my writings to give a visual aspect so I can visualize the experience. Sometimes its just a song or a trail name that triggers the feeling or even a taste like finding your favorite post ski beer. Other times It can be injury or struggle mentally or physically. What are your thoughts on this and how do you do remember whatever it is you hold onto.

I’ve been trying to have a ski journal and I’ve got a list to track how many days and what resorts I’ve skied

at the moment i just take pictures, but some songs will remind me of skiing. pink floyd's dark side of the moon (minus money) reminds me of driving through the notch to cannon, and the beatles remind me of skiing when i was younger.

Music. I play a few songs that remind me of skiing on the way to work to remember why I work… to save $ to ski. Maybe I’ll keep a log again this year.

If I ever get to live that ski life I’d definitely journal. Gotta find a ski town house..

I got 54 days in driving often 4-6hours every weekend and living in my car for a few days to a week at a time its doable for sure.

Its to remember all of it for sure music especially songs that I hear or really like at a specific time really put me in the headspace where I can visualize and remember what the day or that time was like.

This is me as well. I have an ever growing list of songs - mostly from old videos - and when I play them I instantly recall different moments of skiing throughout my life.

I also keep record in an avy book though now that I'm older and spend more time in the backcountry. It's akin to a dive book and cool to look back on at times.

Videos mostly, I try to get a clip a day minimum so it can kickstart my memory, any day I don’t film is just gone into the ether

This is literally Pretty Lights for me.
