How do you grip a rail/box

Sometimes at my hill we play this rail game that whoever goes the slowest onto the rail and completes the whole thing. i think the game has helped my balance on rails a lot because of the difficulty. also watching other people ski and surrounding your self around the right people wil help your skiing skills overall

If you want to spin frontside grip with the inside of your downhill ski. See the photo below but ignore the fact that my arms are flailing all over the place...I need to fix that. If you want to spin backside off the rail then tip your downhill ski forward and use the toe to set the rotation.

Sorry I'll add one more thing. As in the photo above, gripping the inside of your front ski can help just set you in a straight line. Ie. Stops you over rotating and keeps you facing forwards, assuming you don't want to come off the rail switch. Its really good to practise sliding rails and boxes like this rather than just with flat bases as its a lot more controlled. On a box just use the left most 20% of the box and imagine the rest of it isn't even there (that's if you slide left foot first, obviously swap for right foot first).

this. last year i could never scissor on a rail, and after watching 100's of edits it has become 2nd nature to do so without even thinking about it

wait, what are you even asking? people seem to be telling you how to spin off. but what i got out of this was that your just not able to get to the end of the rail or something :/

no im ok with gettin onto it and staying onto it i want to start doin spins off and ppl were telling me to grip it and im new so i hav no idea wat that is and wat is scissoring
