How do you back 270?

As you are about to come off the rail, look over your shoulder as much as possible. As your hips and legs start to follow, pop hard but smoothly and spot your landing and get your feet under you. It helps if you can try it on a short rail first and carry momentum from when you hop on the rail into when you are spinning off.
