How do I ship skis?

a box. just go to your shop. they probably have some left over ones from recieving everything if they didnt throw them all out.

If you go to USPS they have several size boxes you can get for free. If i cant get one big enough from a golf shop or ski shop, i just grab the biggest free size and combine 3 or 4 of them into one long enough. The lady working there told me thats the best way to do it if you have to make your own...

Well, considering these are going to me and all, I figured I'd chime in. I think the idea of asking a local ski shop for a leftover box is great, and then bubble wrap/peanuts/newspaper/plastic bags for padding. The way people ship bows (as in bows and arrows) is they usually go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy one of those big PVC tubes. This might work for skis, but I don't know how expensive or practical that might be. Probably as long as you wrap enough plastic shopping bags around them (clean out that cabinet finally) and then get any box around them, they'll be fine. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

^ of course. It's very important that you use alot of leftover newspaper and whatever you can find to pad the sides of the box so it doesnt ruin the skis during transit.

Since I got my skis off the internet, they came in a ski box. Ask some shops, one is bound to have one you could have.
