How do I relearn everything

I’ve reached the limit with my bad habits. They worked for me for a while, but now I’ve hit the point in my progression where they don’t work anymore. I recently realized that I’ve been skiing backseat for way too long, and that I’m barely even popping when I throw anything besides a straight air or a flatspin. Basically everything is hella scrappy and Its frustrating because I spent years perfecting shitty skiing and repeating bad habits. I almost feel like I need to completely relearn everything, but where do I even start? Should I take some more lessons? Any tips?

I’ll post some clips too, feel free to critique

snowboard for a bit or learn something else new for a little and then come back to skiing ( lil late in the season to though)

Damn that works?

i feel you bro ive been there. I think you should try to land some clean unnatural spins and unnatural rail slides if you cant already . It will help you balance out the weak points in your mind/body.

this tho, when i got into skateboarding and started skating with people who were better than me, i came back to skiing way more aware and confident of my body if that makes sense. Also rock climbing was a really big change in my life that i can attribute to making me a better skier somehow too. Its weird but i felt way more confident on the mountain after diving into those hobbies.

Go back to the basics hand hammer in good habits. Take some steps back if you lose the good habits again

Get some cheap carving skis and just rip groomers for a few days. You can’t lean as hard into skis that are center mounted, have dull edges or a bunch or rocker. Carving really helps with getting a feel for your edges and leaning downhill. Plus it’s fun as shit when everything is death ice

Do some drills. Personally I think one-skiing is super eye opening, especially in terms of turn engagement and using both skis in the turn. Focusing on upper/lower body separation and edge angulation for a few laps can be useful too.

Also practice moguls. I heard a boomer-ass quote recently that I kinda agree with: "Its not that you can't ski moguls. You just can't ski, and moguls prove it"

Break the ego, go back to basics and work on fundamentals. Maybe even take a ski lesson. But breaking the ego is biggest thing. The ego wants you to do what you know.
