I absolutely love skiing, and I am pretty good too. the problem is, I don't get to go up often. mainly because I don't have a ride and my parents don't like to ski as much as I do, and my friends never invite me up. the question is, how do I get up to the mountain more often??

Stand on the side of the highway in plastic heels, pink scarf and a bra, and look seductive.

Can confirm, I must have like 10 days on the hill already using this method.

The thing is my parents don't ski. Since Alta opened I have around 17 days of skiing, this year I'm shooting for 70/80. At the beginning of the season the buses don't go up to the mountain from downtown so I convinced my dad (bribed him with gas money) to drive me up to 6200 south for those slc people. He would drop me off before work at 6:50, and I'd take the worker bus and hangout about an hour and a half before the lifts start spinning. Even more so preseason that bus wouldn't go up but my dad didn't know that so I would walk a bit from the bus and hitchhike up the mountain.. You meet some cool people. Now the bus goes up from downtown so I take that most days. Most of my friends go to Brighton and my best friend that skied at Alta now goes to the bird. There are so many stoked people on the mountain though, that it's super easy to make friends. Coincidentally enough if they're a good skier then chances are theyre not from out of town so just chat a bit they'll most likely give you a ride and you'll make some new friends. It never hurts to have greens too. I don't have my license, and I'm a senior in high school.

Sparknotes: hitchhike, bus, make friends on the hill, NS. Sorry for the unnecessarily long post but there is ways just put in the effort.
